I love dentistry! I have been working in this field since 2003. I work as both a Dental Assistant and a Hygienist and have been with Dr. Schmidt since 2007. My academic background is diverse. Before starting work for Dr. Schmidt,  I graduated from Northwestern Community College with my Associate Degree Dental Assistant. I graduated in 2007 earning my Bachelor's degree in Biology and Spanish. In 2011, I earned my Associate Degree in Dental Hygiene from Oakland Community College.

Each year I travel to Honduras, Central America, to provide care to underserved areas. Helping people regain and maintain a healthy, beautiful smile is what made me fall in love with this career. My husband and I have three children.

I have been treating people . . . and their teeth, for over 40 years. What is the biggest advance I've seen in those 40 yrs? Digital x-rays! The patient can actually see the conditions I am trying to explain. I can instantaneously pull up an old digital x-ray for comparison, or email x-rays to another location. The amount of radiation used for a digital plate is 1/4 the amount used for the fastest speed 'real' film, an amount so small as to be negligible. With the digital camera and digital x-ray, patients don't scrunch up their faces as they try to make sense of my words----they can see for themselves!

I am active in many organizations, including: Outreach Team Saline Methodist Church, coordinator Saline Area CROP Hunger Walk, and of Friendship Ministry Program for Differently-Abled Persons.

I moved to the United States from Poland with my family in 1983. After graduation from the University of Michigan, I began working with Drs. Miller and Schmidt. To me, the most important aspect of dentistry is prevention. This is what makes an “American Smile” so distinctive and beautiful!

My husband and I have two grown sons, and two grandchildren who we enjoy visiting.

I have been a dental assistant since 1987, and with Dr. Schmidt since 1993.

I have a wide array of duties in our office, from doing hands on dentistry to ordering supplies.

My favorite part of being at our office is getting to know our patients and putting them at ease.

I especially enjoy working with kids to make their dental visit the best possible visit.

I enjoy working with Dr. Schmidt because he is  honest and sincere with our patients. Our patients like the fact that he explains what needs to be done and takes the time to answer questions.

I have two teenage daughters.

Hi!

I am the newest member of the Ann Arbor Family Dental team.

This is my eleventh year as a dental assistant. I have assisted in several offices through the years and I am glad to now be working in this dental office.  This office provides excellent dentistry in a very caring, relaxed and fun atmosphere. I look forward to coming to work every day because of the wonderful people I work with. Everybody here cares about what they do.

I have met many wonderful patients and enjoy assisting Dr. Schmidt with our patients’ dental concerns.

I look forward to meeting you!

I knew growing up that I wanted to work in the medical field, and the dental field seemed like it would be enjoyable and rewarding. My favorite thing about our dental office is seeing how much our patients enjoy coming here. I love knowing that people leave our office with smiles on their face because they were well taken care of.

The team here is great. Everybody is fun, caring and energetic.

I am from Dexter, MI originally. I am a graduate of Baker College. I enjoy interacting with people- meeting new people as well as staying in touch with long time friends.

Welcome to our practice!

It is my job to assist our patients and to attend to the administrative details in the business dental office. I am responsible for all the administrative details that make a successful practice run smoothly.

I enjoy working here. The team here is well trained, friendly and welcoming - and it really shows!

When I am not in the office I like horseback riding and spending time with family. I enjoy caring for my horse and my three dogs.
